How do I know that I receive genuine, good quality products when I place an order?
We only host reputed Indian/International branded products. We don’t sell unbranded or any cheap imports. We carefully select the brands and products for our catalogs. Also, we have partnerships with manufacturers directly or their national licensed distributors or their designated representatives. All the products get shipped directly from their warehouses. So, you can be assured of the quality and genuineness of the products.
Can I come and see the items, before placing an order online?
Unfortunately, this is not possible currently as we don’t operate any physical stores at this point. Products get shipped directly from the manufacturer / distributor warehouse.
Do you have any stores in any cities?
No. We don’t have any physical retail stores in any city.
Why should I register on your site?
Registration is a process in which we get your email address for any communication from us to you. Registration enables you to be informed about new product launches, brand launches, promotions and discount offers on our site and periodic newsletters.
On our site, registration / sign-up is a very simple process. You need to provide us with your email id and select a password. All other information like address, contact numbers, preferences etc. are all optional information.
What is a shopping cart?
Shopping cart is one place where you place products that are of interest to you while you are browsing the products on our site. Once you are done with your browsing, you could review your shopping cart items and make a decision on what to buy. Placing items in shopping does not obligate you to purchase these items.
If I place items in the cart, does this mean that I am committed to buy these items?
NO. You can add/delete items from the cart till you make the final payment.
What is check-out?
Check out a process where you are done with the selection of the products and decided on what to buy. In the check-out process, you confirm the products and shipping address and proceed for payment.
Can I just view the products without placing an order?
Yes. You are most welcome to view/browse products on our site. There is no need for any login or registration requirement to view the products on our site.
Are all the products sold are brand new?
We DON’T SELL ANY USED products on our site. We sell only new products in their original manufacturer’s packing.
How can I be sure that the sports equipment that I am getting is authentic?
We have a direct tie-up with most of the manufacturers and licensed distributors and in most of these cases, your shipment will come from their warehouses directly. As this comes from the original source, you can be rest assured that you will get reputed manufacturer’s quality and no intermediate tampering OR mixing of the in-authentic products.
Can I compare products on your site?
At this point, this feature is not available on our site. However, we have plans to include this feature shortly.
Can I change my personal details whenever I want?
Yes. You could change your personal details by accessing the My Account Section on the home page. You need to sign-in to the site for updating your personal details.
Can I see my old orders with Playgroundonline?
Yes. You can see all the orders in “View My Order History” in “My Account” on home page.
I would like to add few addresses that I normally ship with Playgroundonline. Is this possible?
Yes. We do provide a facility to maintain multiple shipping addresses associated to your account. This can be done through “View My Address Book” in “My Account” section. In addition to this, you can also add a new shipping address during the process of entering a new order.
Can I track the progress of the order from your web site?
Yes. You can track the order through “Track My Order” under “My Account”. For this, you need the tracking number of the order shipment, which would have been sent to you through an email from us.
How safe is it to shop at your site, using a credit or debit card?
We have a tie-up with reputed payment gateways which are “Verisign Certified”. Verisign is one of the worls’s leading payment gateway security certification agency. This ensures that the web pages where you enter your card information are secure and they transmit card information in an encrypted form, which minimizes the card data theft/hacking. You enter your card information on the payment gateway website pages and this information is transmitted with encryption.
Do I need to submit any other additional documents when I use my credit card?
In some high value transactions involving amount exceeding Rs. 7500, our payment gateway agencies insist (as a process) on additional documentation from the card user. This is to again minimize the misuse of the card by unauthorized people. You are required to send two documents.
Xerox copy of the front page of the credit card (with some digits masked)
Photo identity proof (copy of your passport, drivers license, PAN card, Ration Card OR any other valid photo identify proof)
These documents can either be sent to Playgroundonline customer service OR directly to the payment gateway agency. Detailed instructions will be given by our customer service representatives after order is booked on the web using a credit card.
Would you be sharing my personal data with anybody else?
As a general practice, we will not be sharing your personal data for any commercial purposes. However, we need to share your personal data with partners and service providers in the process of order fulfillment.
Order Processing / Tracking / Shipping
What is billing and shipping address?
Billing address is the address of the person who is ordering using any payment mechanism. This is typically the address that is there with the credit card or bank account.
Shipping address is the address to which the goods have to be shipped or delivered. This may be same or different from the billing address.
If you are in Mumbai and you want to ship the products to one of your relatives in Chennai, Billing address would be your Mumbai address and shipping address would be your relative’s address in Chennai.
Can I ship an order to my friend’s address directly?
Yes. You definitely can. Specify your address in the billing address and specify your friend’s address and contact information in the shipping address. Items will be delivered accordingly to your friend’s address specified under shipping address.
Can I remove items from my shopping cart after they are added to the cart?
Yes. You are free to add/remove/modify cart contents at any time before your payment. Shopping cart is the place where you can keep the items that you want to buy or evaluating to buy. Placing items in cart does not obligate you to buy.
When I place an order, does the amount shown include taxes and levies?
Net Amount shown in the product detail screen on our site, shows the final product price (which includes shipping charges, any taxes and levies). You don’t have to worry about paying any additional taxes if the shipment is going to an Indian address.
However, if the shipment is to any international location, you need to be responsible for any local customs, entry or VAT taxes. These will be collected from you by the delivery agent.
Will I get any communication from Playgroundonline during order processing?
Yes. We do believe in keeping you informed about the progress of the order. We do send emails regarding order confirmation, order shipment, order delivery etc. We also may send any additional information to you through email or phone, if there are any delays or changes/issues with your shipment. However, we assure you that we will not be sending any unnecessary information/mails to you at any time.
Do I need to inform regarding my availability after I place my order?
Most of the times, our courier agents contact you (through the mobile/landline provided) before coming for delivery. If you are planning on an extended absence, we would definitely like you to inform us about your availability times so that we could coordinate the delivery with the delivery agent.
What happens if you run out of stock on the item that I ordered?
Before confirming the order to you (which normally happens within 24-48 hrs) after you place the order online, we check the availability. However, in some exceptional circumstances, after confirmation, we could get into out of stock situation. In these exceptional cases, we will contact you for further guidance. You could either choose to wait, OR you could choose to cancel. If you cancel, we will immediately issue a full refund of the amount. This refund could take a few days for this to reflect in your accounts, depending on the bank and Credit Card Company.
If I order large numbers of same items, will I get some discounts?
Our published prices are for retail customers. These are applicable for all the retail customers and are updated on a regular basis. However, if you are ordering in very large quantities, you could contact our customer service and discuss any discount options. But, for orders with fewer items, there will not be any additional discounts as our prices are already competitive.
Can I cancel an order after payment is done?
Yes. You can cancel the order after payment is done, provided that it is not been shipped from the warehouse. We can’t cancel the order once the items are shipped. Whenever, there is a need for cancellation, please call our customer service immediately and you will be advised regarding the next steps and whether the cancellation is possible or not.
How do I get my money back after cancellation?
Once the cancellation is approved, you will be receiving a formal communication from us regarding the cancellation and the amount that will be refunded to you. We will issue a refund to the card company within the next two business days and the actual credit to your card account. If the amount is paid through Check / Demand Draft / Direct Deposit, we will send a refund Check within a week’s time to your address.
How long does it take to get my money back?
After we issue a refund to your card account, typically it will take maximum of week to reflect it into your card account. It could vary from issuing bank. After we issue the credit, we encourage you to check with your bank for the final confirmation.
I received the product through courier. It is different from what I ordered. What should I do?
As soon as you receive the product, we suggest that you open the pack and make sure that product is what you ordered (to the specifications like color, size etc.) and the product is in good condition. On opening the package, if you find that the product is different from that which you ordered (in terms of any specifications), you should immediately call or write to our customer service and we will contact you immediately and advise you on further steps in getting the correct product to you. In this case, you will not be charged any additional charges. We will bear all the charges related to this replacement.
Will I be charged for returning any product?
If there is any issue with the shipment in terms of wrong or damaged product, we take care of any shipping charges. If you are returning any item as you made an incorrect choice in terms of color, size etc., you need to bear the cost of return and replacement.
What if the product is not of good quality? Can I return the product?
Yes. If the product is not of good quality (any manufacturing defect or damaged in transit), then the product can be returned with no additional charge.
I did not pay attention to the product when I ordered. But, now that I got it, I don’t like it. Can I return it?
Yes. Information about the return is to be intimated to our customer service within 2 business days of receipt of the product. You could return the product if there are no visible marks of usage and the product is in its original pack. Upon receipt of the product, on inspection and if there are no visible marks of usage, we will refund or replace the product.
I bought the product some time back. Now this is broken? What can I do?
If the issue is related to a manufacturing defect, manufacturer’s warranty terms will be applicable. In this case, product needs to be sent to the manufacturer and the manufacturer will ascertain the cause of the breakage
If my return is accepted, would I be entitled for a full refund? If so, how soon will I get my money back?
If the return is accepted, you will be entitled to a full refund. We will issue the credit to the card account that is used by you. Credit will appear in few days time in your card account. If the initial payment was done by check/DD, we will send the DD within 48 hours.
How do I return the product back to you? Do you arrange for a pick-up?
On request, we could arrange for a pick-up. Alternatively, you could use the original pack and send it through any courier nearest to you.
Will Playgroundonline ship products to overseas locations?
Yes. We do ship certain products to international locations. In the product detail page, it is very clearly mentioned as to which countries a particular product is shipped. Please note that we can sell certain products only in India and we will not be able to ship these to overseas locations.
How long does it take for the shipment to reach to overseas locations?
On an average, overseas shipments take 15-18 working days from the day of order confirmation. This is a general approximation based on our experience. There could be a variation of few days depending on the season, time taken for customs clearance etc.
How do I know what are the shipping charges that are levied?
Shipping charges are mentioned separately for International shipments. This can be found in the Product detail screen. You need to choose the appropriate option to reflect the correct pricing of the shipping.
Are the prices shown inclusive of any local customs duties and local taxes?
No. Prices are not inclusive of any local customs duties and local taxes. Delivery agency will clear the customs duties and other taxes and you need to pay the actual amount to the delivery agent while taking the delivery of the shipment.
Can I track my international order?
For countries US, UK and Canada, the consignment can be tracked online through the local websites of US Postal service (USA), Royal Mail (UK) and Canada Post (Canada).
For other countries, this shipment can be tracked through Indian Speed Post website.
What are the different payment mechanisms available on playgroundonline?
We do support multiple payment mechanisms for your convenience. We accept credit cards (Visa, Master, Amex and Diners Club), and a host of Net Banking options. With regards to Credit cards, we accept all international credit cards issued by the above card issuers.
We also accept mobile payment through CCave and ITZ Cards.
In addition to the above, we also accept deposit into our bank account, Cheque, Demand Draft OR Money Order as other payment mechanisms. However, in these cases, order will be processed only after the amount is realized into our bank account. You need to select “Offline Payment” in the payment screen to pay through any of these mechanisms.
I have a US (or international) bank issued credit card. Can I use this to place orders?
Yes. You could use international bank issued credit card from Visa, Amex and Diners Club. Billing will be done in Indian Rupees only.
I don’t have a credit or debit card. How can I pay for my order?
You could pay for the order through a deposit of cash/check into our bank account, mailing us a Cheque or Demand Draft OR send us a money order. You can choose the “Offline Payment” Option in the payment screen for this. Order will be processed only after the amount is realized into our bank account.
Is Cash On Delivery (COD) option available?
No. Currently, this method is not supported in our systems.
My card account shows a debit from my account. But, I receive a message from playgroundonline that my order is declined. What should I do?
For any reason, if this were to happen, please call/email our customer service during the published working hours and we will immediately revert to you after checking with our payment gateway agency. If the amount is debited and the payment gateway agency confirms the success of the transaction, we will process the order and inform you accordingly.
When I am using a Visa card, it takes me to a screen which says “Verified by Visa”. What is this about?
“Verified by Visa” is a mechanism introduced by Visa recently to minimize the credit card fraud. This is for additional protection and safety of your card information. “Verified by Visa” enables you to enter your internet banking userid/password as one more level of authentication. Once you opt for this, whenever you use this particular Visa card, you will be prompted to enter the internet banking login/password. This way, any unauthorized usage of the card online is minimized. However, you are allowed to proceed with the transaction without i-banking userid/password for 10 times by just providing your date of birth.
Can I order any item on your site as a Gift for somebody in another city?
Yes. You could order any item as a Gift to somebody else in another city. You could also be in overseas location and order a gift for somebody in India.
Would you be able to provide any gift wrap facility?
Currently, we do not provide any gift wrap facility.
Can I include a Gift Message along with the Gift that I am sending?
Currently, this is not supported in our system. However, we are working towards providing this facility in the coming weeks.
Can I order Playgroundonline Gift Certificates?
Currently, we don’t have Gift Certificates option. However, we are working towards releasing Gift Certificates in the coming weeks.
CI received a playgroundonline coupon code. How do I use it?
Playgroundonline keeps organizing promotions from time to time through emails or through any other online or offline channels. You will be receiving a coupon code along with the promotion offer. Typically, this coupon code entitles you for a discount, a freebie, cash back or any other incentive/reward. If you are in receipt of a coupon code, you could avail this benefit by entering the promotion code in the check-out screen.
Are there any benefits to frequent shoppers at your site? Would I be accumulating any points for my purchases?
At this point, we have not instituted any frequent shopper program. However, we do understand the need to create some kind of incentive structure for our frequent shoppers. We are working towards a loyalty program. Also, in the meanwhile, we do come out with some special offers for our loyal customers.
Do you service bulk order requirements?
Yes. We do service bulk orders. We do supply our products to various corporate, schools, academies, institutions and any other organization who is interested in buying in bulk. Please do contact our customer service for any bulk requirement. We would also be supplying some products that may not be listed on our site.
Are there any special discounts for bulk orders?
Yes. We will work out special discounts in the case of bulk orders. These discounts will be more attractive based on the volumes, value and delivery location. There could also be additional savings on shipping costs.
I would like to get an Invoice for my purchase for my company records. Would you be able to supply us a formal invoice?
Yes. We do supply formal invoices to companies for any purchases done on company name. Typically, these orders are serviced based on a formal purchase order from the company and an advance payment.
